A beautiful and highly collectible vintage Indian devotional print depicting Lord Vishnu / Narayan granting divine darshan to the young devotee Dhruva amidst a dramatic forest and mountain landscape. The composition beautifully captures the celebrated story of Dhruva’s intense devotion and his divine encounter with Lord Narayan.

The artwork bears the artist inscription “Art. Khubiram, Nathdwara, India.” Khubiram was associated with the important early-20th-century Nathdwara devotional-art tradition; museum records also document Khubiram Gopilal devotional prints from around the 1930s.

Brass is actually an alloy, not a pure metal. It’s a combination of copper and zinc, and the proportions of these metals determine the colour and properties of the brass. Known for its durability and resistance to corrosion, brass has been used for centuries in everything from musical instruments to household items. Using brass utensils can impart a subtle metallic taste to food, enhancing its flavour profile.
