A beautiful vintage Indian devotional print titled “Asli Maha Lakshmi” (असली महा लक्ष्मी), depicting Goddess Lakshmi seated majestically amidst a vast expanse of water and abundant piles of coins and jewels.
Mahalakshmi is portrayed in richly detailed traditional attire, wearing an ornate crown and jewellery while holding a decorative vessel associated with prosperity and abundance. A radiant halo surrounds the goddess, while a moonlit waterscape and temple-like architecture in the background create an especially atmospheric devotional composition.
The combination of deep blue water, glowing moonlight, red and gold garments, and abundant treasure imagery gives the artwork a striking old-world appearance.
Importantly, the original lower margin retains its period publishing information:

Brass is actually an alloy, not a pure metal. It’s a combination of copper and zinc, and the proportions of these metals determine the colour and properties of the brass. Known for its durability and resistance to corrosion, brass has been used for centuries in everything from musical instruments to household items. Using brass utensils can impart a subtle metallic taste to food, enhancing its flavour profile.
