A striking vintage Indian devotional artwork depicting Ram Raja, with Lord Rama and Sita seated ceremonially upon a royal throne, surrounded by attendant figures and Hanuman in devotion at their feet.
What makes this example especially distinctive is the extensive hand-applied Aari–Taari embellishment added over the original printed image. Fine metallic decorative work has been carefully applied to the crowns, jewellery, garments, ornaments, royal throne and ceremonial canopy, giving the flat printed image a beautiful raised and richly textured appearance.
The hand embellishment catches the light differently across the composition, creating an almost three-dimensional effect and reflecting the traditional practice of enhancing devotional prints by hand for shrines, homes and important religious settings.
The original lower margin retains the printed identification:

Brass is actually an alloy, not a pure metal. It’s a combination of copper and zinc, and the proportions of these metals determine the colour and properties of the brass. Known for its durability and resistance to corrosion, brass has been used for centuries in everything from musical instruments to household items. Using brass utensils can impart a subtle metallic taste to food, enhancing its flavour profile.
