rare and visually captivating early 20th-century devotional oleograph, printed by the renowned Ravi Udaya F.A.L. Press, Ghatkopar, Bombay, and beautifully enhanced with original handcrafted Taari, sequins and bead embellishment. Inspired by the celebrated tradition of Raja Ravi Varma’s devotional imagery, this artwork reflects the remarkable fusion of fine chromolithographic printing and traditional Indian craftsmanship.

The composition portrays an elegant lady in graceful motion, richly adorned with jewellery and flowing drapery, while the intricate Taari work highlights the ornaments, garments and architectural details, creating a striking three-dimensional effect. Every metallic bead and embroidered border has been applied by hand, making each surviving example unique.

Published by Anant Shivaji Desai, Moti Bazar, Mumbai, this oleograph belongs to the golden era of Indian devotional prints, when such works decorated royal residences, merchant havelis and temple interiors. With its original period frame, authentic age-related patina and well-preserved embellishments, this is an exceptional collector’s piece that represents both India’s printing heritage and its traditional decorative arts.
