A beautiful vintage Indian devotional print depicting Goddess Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, learning and the arts.
Saraswati is portrayed holding her veena, seated upon her sacred white bird against a dramatic celestial landscape. Below, a serene lake with swans and blooming lotus flowers creates a richly atmospheric setting. The dark background, detailed jewellery, traditional attire and delicate architectural landscape give the artwork an especially striking period character.
The original lower margin retains important printed details:

Brass is actually an alloy, not a pure metal. It’s a combination of copper and zinc, and the proportions of these metals determine the colour and properties of the brass. Known for its durability and resistance to corrosion, brass has been used for centuries in everything from musical instruments to household items. Using brass utensils can impart a subtle metallic taste to food, enhancing its flavour profile.
